Newly detected transient events are run through multiple levels of data analysis to help identify and label key features in the event data, helping you to better understand and manage your event analysis and response.

This analysis will automatically label and score events for the following criteria:

Sharp Pressure Drops
This label will identify events containing pressure drops with steep gradients, which could be an indication of harmful network operations, breaks or failures.

Possible Pump Stop
The label will identify events containing pressure drops with steep gradients as above, but if the source site is identified as being near a pump station (in the site settings), will indicate that a pump stop may be the cause.

Negative Pressures
This label will identify any events containing negative pressure samples (below atmospheric), as negative pressures can damage water supply infrastructure.

Oscillations
This label will identify waveforms that consist predominantly of pressure oscillations.

Connections / Disconnections
This label will identify events starting from, or dropping to, a persistent atmospheric value, indicating that the event may be caused from connecting or disconnecting the sensor from the water supply.

Atmospheric Data
This label will identify events containing predominantly atmospheric pressure values, indicating that the sensor in use is not connected to a pressurised water supply.

Invalid Data Points
This label will identify events containing invalid pressure samples, indicating the event may have been triggered because of sensor failure or data interference/issues.
