Water Hammer, also known as 'Pressure transients'
Commonly known as ‘water hammer’, pressure transients are short-lived pressure waves delivering fast changes in the pressure of a pipe in water networks.
Acting on data collected from monitoring for transients, pro-active changes can be made to reduce leakage, prevent bursts, and ultimately extend asset life.
This in turn feeds into improved repair planning, water loss reduction, and helps to avoid emergency repair costs.
